Dylan and his team installed some recessed lighting, put in new drywall and baseboards, painted, and installed new floors in our kitchen. First Rate Construction worked super quickly on the project, were polite, and were trustworthy when I was not home.

I would highly recommend it for someone that wants to add value to their home or simply change things around! I received other bids from contractors that were more expensive and that didn’t seem to personally care about the stresses that come up when living in the house while renovations are being done.

Dylan was extremely personable, hard-working, and his final product certainly reflected that. Will be using First Rate Construction for future projects!

I contacted First Rate Construction with a very odd request. My house is very odd with multiple small additions and reshaped roof lines to name just a couple quirks. After having lived in my house for 20+ years I thought there might be a large(ish) space above a spare bedroom that could be turned into a usable space. I’ve always thought of my house as sort of a tree house or fort. I don’t mind an odd layout if I’m getting more functionality or storage space in my sub-1,000 sqft house.

Additionally, In the last 4 years or so I’ve had the displeasure of working with 4 different contractors on two different projects who have swindled, left me high and dry, or literally been arrested and unable to complete the work they started. I was nervous to start another big project with a new team.

My concerns were misplaced. First Rate Construction are unbelievably professional in every regard. Their communication is impeccable. Phone calls, texts, and e-mails were all options and answered well within a reasonable timeframe.

The team showed enthusiasm toward the uniqueness of my construction request and even came up with some options for railing and storage that I hadn’t thought of and will be incredibly helpful once I begin using the space.

I’m rambling. My point is… I think my goal as a homeowner has always been to have “a guy”. You need some work done on your car? “Oh, I’ve got a guy for that. I’ll send you his info.”

Well I might not have a mechanic “guy”, but I now have a contractor I trust. I will be calling them again in the future and recommending them to my friends and family.
